We all know that the Newspaper Industry in a time honored tradition of the last hundred+ years, and our morning routine. But beyond that, it is a syncopated, well-oiled machine of fast-paced writing, art-creation, and daily personal drive that most people rarely see or even think about in this instant gratification society. We as consumers, in our digital age, have the innate ability to instantly devour news and content at an exorbitant rate. We rarely realize what goes into creating the content we so rapidly digest.

I was so fortunate to work for one such place; the Times Community Newspapers. From a Pre-Pressman at a printing facility in Xenia, to a Graphic Designer and in-house Webmaster, I saw the inner workings of not one, but multiple weekly newspapers that were integral to their respective communities. Seeing firsthand how these printed news engines came together; from stories, advertisements, and graphics, to how they were printed and delivered to homes was an extraordinary process. These are a few samples of my work from my time there.

The Print realm will forever be my favorite medium to work.

Printed medium has been alive and well for centuries. From illuminated manuscripts to advertising billboards you see along every major highway, these pieces had to pass by some creative persons' eye.

Body Wrappers Liturgical DVD & Large Banners
Body Wrappers Liturgical DVD & Large Banners

Body Wrappers has a very large Liturgical Dance following. So much so that they produced a DVD of dance moves and designs where I was able to create the cover and dvd design. Because of my background within the church and religious and spiritual knowledge, I became the main Liturgical catalog designer.
The items I designed that are featured in this section are:
• DVD Case Wrap
• DVD Label
• 6ft Banner

Amahl & the Night Visitor Poster
Amahl & the Night Visitor Poster

Still one of my favorite pieces, I created this poster during my internship in college. It was created for a Christmas production of 'Amahl & The Night Visitor' for a church in Columbus where I was working at the time. The top lettering is a custom hand-drawn creation based on lettering from the Middle East with a selection of scratch-board art chosen from my Mentor at the time, Evanglia Philipidis.

American Red Cross of Montgomery & Greene Co. Great Escape
• Individual General Admission Ticket
• Advertising Promotional Poster
• Brochure with Raffle Entry ticket inside
Working on this set for the American Red Cross of Montgomery and Greene Co. was so much fun. I was giving quite a bit of latitude to have creative freedom with these pieces, as long as they were readable and as long as the "Great Escape" was the most prevalent thing on each piece.
